((OOC)) Paging Greta

((OOC)) Greta, I have a HUGE favour to ask of you. Allisendre has been put into competition with another sister for a position as Dr. Octavia's student in Gluttony. Her challenge: Provide a meal for the good doctor each day for the next three nights. Now, Sandre, being the smart girl that she is, has a plan. But, to enact this scheme she needs one ingredient: a small quantity (read, two-three drops... perhaps one, even) of Dr. Tod's blood. To my knowledge, this will not constitute any real threat to Greta (the blood will quickly be diluted into a large quantity of harmless liquid), but I'm sure it will curry a good deal of favor into Allisendre's court. As to the obtaining of this sample, Sandre's called in favours with most surviving members of the Thuggee cult, as well as many of her servitors to track down Greta and obtain these droplets yet, "if [they] harm her in any way, [they] shall wish for death for the next thousand years," to use her acidic words. Basically, jostling the Doctor in some way to draw the precious droplets. Said jostler need not survive the encounter, so long as the specimen is preserved.

All that said, would you be so kind as to oblige me in this task? Like Kali, I have a fallback, should you decline and her boys fail her, but it shall not make for quite as dramatic a read when I finally get the post up in the Treasure Box for Allisendre's "dinner gifts."

((OOC)) Wow, Dr. Greta's Blood.... see, that's a great idea, shame Thessa wouldn't ever think of such a thing.

Ohh, this competition between the two girls is fun. Of course, as the player, I am rooting for Thessa, but still... I wonder who will win, and by doing what.

((OOC)) IC, Dr. Tod is on vacation. OOC, not sure if her player is focusing on other characters at the moment.

((OOC)) There's a bit more evil festering beneath Allisendre's fair surface then her cheerful demeanour would suggest. I think its probably good that Sandre's convinced Thessa doesn't have potable blood, per se, or else she might've been on the menu as well. *laughs*

((OOC)) Wow, tall order there. Honestly, I'm not avoiding playing Greta, and I've been 'keeping track' of what she's been up to in Florida (because I'm a huge nerd who can't just let a character 'sit'), but, this is a 'delicate' time for Doctor Tod. The best way to handle it would be to contact her and advise her of the nice psychotic savages coming for her blood -first-, or there might not be enough left of them to mail back in mason jars.

To paraphrase Nadja when she advised the doktor on taking a vacation, "You ought to just cut loose, take a few days away to anything - or anyone - you want to." I'm still missing details, but, I'm picturing a mess that would make a slasher flick look like a particularly sedate episode of Bob the Builder. If she had some forewarning, it'd be a lot less likely anyone blundering into her trajectory would get shredded like a goose in a jet turbine.

For the record, I love this 'competition' idea. Wish I'd thought of it (though I can't see anybody competing for the right to work under Fraulein Hackenslash.)

((OOC)) Wow, you can't edit these comments. That line should be "to DO anything - or anyone - you want to." Kinda loses its potency without that one little word.

Ok... am I alone in wondering, who ELSE is 'on the menu'?

((OOC)) Well, considering how Sandre seems to be 'amping up' each meal in quality and meaning, I'd doubt the third and final one will involve any of the staff. Greta and Alice have a contentious interactivity right now, so, I see the point in the gesture, but, for her third meal, she'd need to 'top' that.

I'd keep an eye on Sandre and Thessa both tonight, if either tags along for the Strike Force, though. Something about the idea of jumping into a massive demon's mouth and sticking a syringe into its tongue is just...impressive.

I'm hoping that no one will actually be "on the menu," so to speak. Though, what Alice does with the loser... well, that shall remain to be seen.

And, to be honest, Sandre wouldn't think to just ask for a few drops of blood; expecting Greta to expect it to be used to some end far more diabolical then Ali actually has in mind.

In which case, I will assume its safe to say that Allisendre loses a dozen or so men without managing to nick the frazzled (psychotic) doctor. For which, Ali will have to find an alternative, and pray that promises will pique a spider's appettite.

*catches the post about the SF* Oh no, I'd planned to use Greta as the icing on the cake, so to speak. Giving Alice a drop of dried blood and hinting at something more carried more weight in my mind; and in Kali's, she's betting that Alice's hostility with the other doctor will be the key to her success.

Oh! And as a side note, I've posted her first two days leavings in the Treasure box, already, if anyone's interested in the pieces. They're not my best writing, to be sure, and they're more then a little macabre, but... well, I'm just kinda kinky like that.

Soul Train said...

(( I thought they were, well... deliciously crafted, if a bit macabre.))

((IC Note)) An hour and a half after the spiders make their delivery, a very sullen Allisendre recalls her men, or at least those that remain.

I posted Thessa's first offereing through mail, but I like how you have set it up in the Treause Box, so I'll be posting the last two offereings there as well.

((OOC)) Good call and a good read Thess, and yes, I may have to play a trump card I'd hoped to hold onto; but desperate times and what not...
